Know Your Pal is built on a consent-first model. It's designed from the ground up to be safe, respectful and private for everyone involved. Building trust for an in-person meetup starts with protecting your digital information.
IF YOU RECEIVE A PAL CHECK
You are in control.
Your privacy is our number one priority. The entire process is designed to protect you.
- It's 100% your choice. If you don't know the person, feel uncomfortable or just don't want to, you can safely ignore or decline the request. No information will be shared.
- The requester never sees your info. No access to your ID document, exact date of birth, address or any other personal information.
- They only get a simple result, like "Verified (18+)" or "Not verified".
- Your verification is private. When you scan your ID, you interact securely with ProntoID's encrypted system, not with the requester.
IF YOU SEND A PAL CHECK
You get only what you need.
Respectful of your pal's privacy, while giving you the confidence you need.
- Consent is required. Your pal must review the request and give explicit consent. If they don't, the process stops.
- You never see their documents: no driver's licence, passport or exact date of birth.
- You only get the final result you requested (e.g. "Verified 18+"), which protects your pal's sensitive information.

What we do

- Encrypt all personal data during the process.
What we never share
- Your ID document or its number.

- Any information without your explicit consent.
The requester only ever sees one thing:
A simple result, like "Verified (18+)" or "Not verified".
