How 'Know Your Pal' Works (For Senders)
Want to securely verify someone? Our "Know Your Pal" service makes it simple and safe for everyone involved. Here’s how it works.

You Start the Request
First, you choose what you want to verify. You can select one or more data points:
- Age Range: Confirm your pal is over a certain age (e.g., "Verified 18+").
- ID Authenticity: Get a simple True/False result that their government ID is authentic.
- Nationality Match: You provide a nationality, and we confirm (True/False) if their ID matches. (We never reveal their actual nationality).
- Who Pays: You decide whether you will cover the verification fee or if you'd like to ask your pal to pay for it.
Then, you can either provide their contact (email/phone) for us to send an invite, or just get a secure verification link to share with your pal yourself.

Your Pal Gets the Invite
Your pal receives the private, one-time link (either from us or from you). The invite explains what's being asked (e.g., "Verify you are 18+") and who is asking.

Your Pal Must Consent
This is the most important step. Your pal must review the request and give their clear consent to be verified. If they don't consent or simply ignore the request, the process stops.

They Verify Their Age
Once they agree, your pal uses our secure ProntoID platform to complete the age verification. This is a fast, encrypted process (e.g., scanning their ID).

You Get the Simple Result
After they successfully verify, you will be notified. You can then check your dashboard to see a simple, clear result: "Verified" or "Not Verified".
Our Privacy & Security Guarantee
This "consent-first" process is designed to protect everyone:
- YOU WILL NEVER see your pal's personal documents, driver's license, passport, or their exact date of birth.
- YOU WILL ONLY see the final result you requested (e.g., "Verified 18+").

They Get the Simple Result
Once our system confirms your status, the requester is notified that the check is complete. They will only see the "Verified" or "Not Verified" status.
This is 100% Your Choice
You are in complete control. If you do not know the person asking, do not feel comfortable, or simply do not want to proceed for any reason, you can safely ignore or decline this request.
No information will be shared, and the request will automatically expire.

If You Receive a Pal Check: You Are in Control

- It's 100% Your Choice: You are in complete control. If you don't know the person, feel uncomfortable, or just don't want to, you can safely ignore or decline the request. No information will be shared.
- The Requester NEVER Sees Your Info: They will never have access to your ID document (Passport, Driver's License), your exact date of birth, your address, or any other personal information.
- They Only Get a Simple Result: The *only* thing the person asking will see is a simple, final status like "Verified (18+)" or "Not Verified".
- Your Verification is Private: When you scan your ID, you are interacting securely and privately with ProntoID's encrypted system, *not* with the requester.
If You Send a Pal Check: You Get Only What You Need
The service is designed to be respectful of your pal's privacy while giving you the confidence you need.
- Consent is Required: Your pal must review the request and give their explicit consent to be verified. If they don't, the process stops.
- You Will NEVER See Their Documents: To protect their privacy, you will never see their personal documents, driver's license, passport, or their exact date of birth.
